I’ve had crochetitcreations.com for over 2 years now and I have designed many crochet beanies. Beanies are my top patterns viewed on the site. Most make them for gifts for the holidays or for market events.
No matter what you make your beanies for, I decided to do a round up of Crochet Beanie Patterns so you can check them all out for yourself. You will love all of these patterns and many come in multiple sizes.
1. The Ana Beanie
The Ana Beanie has been Crochet It Creations most popular pattern. And actually it was the pattern that told me, yes you actually CAN be a crochet designer and someone actually DOES want to see your designs.
The pattern comes in 2 sizes, child and adult. It is worked using a Camel Stitch, which is worked in the third loop of the stitches. This pushes the top loops to the front to create a chain.
It is worked from the brim up. Post stitches are used to give extra stitch definition. Make a faux fur or yarn pom pom for the top.
The Ana Beanie was so popular that I went on to create more to make a set. Like the Ana Scarf, Ear Warmer, Fingerless Gloves, Bonnet, and a Top Down Beanie version.
2. The Gracie Messy Bun Beanie
The Gracie Beanie is the “sister” beanie to the Ana Beanie. It uses the same beautiful stitch techniques but is adjusted to make a Messy Bun Beanie where you pull your pony tail through the top.
The pattern comes in adult and child size as well using worsted weight yarn.
3. Braided Cable Beanie
The Braided Cable Beanie is an advanced pattern but its GORGEOUS. It only comes in adult size because of the large pattern repeat. You can size down with hook or yarn weight.
I have featured the Braided Cable Stitch in several other patterns and it has always been a favorite. Complete the crochet beanie with a pom pom on the top.
See the Braided Cable Ear Warmer, Scarf, and Throw Pillow.
4. Ana Bonnet
The Ana Bonnet comes in newborn through adult sizes. It is just as gorgeous as the original Ana Beanie but has these cute adorable strings that hang down.
My daughter looked so cute in this bonnet. And it is actually my most favorite design!
5. Coffee Bean Slouchy Beanie
The Coffee Bean Slouchy Beanie comes in adult size. It uses worsted weight yarn and uses the bean stitch.
The Bean Stitch is a series of loops that create a beautiful texture. It is worked from the brim up.
6. Snow Crochet Beanie
The Snow Beanie will be sure to keep you warm this winter. It has a wide folded up brim to give you extra warmth.
Wear the Beanie folded up or unfolded as a slouchy beanie. Pattern comes in newborn through adult sizes.
7. Chunky Snow Beanie
The Chunky Snow Beanie is like the Snow Beanie, just made with Super Bulky Yarn. Pattern also comes in newborn through adult sizes.
8. Mainstream Beanie
The Mainstream Beanie is a unique textured hat. It’s worked making the body first then adding a brim. It works up fast using little worsted weight yarn.
Pattern comes in 8 sizes, Newborn thru adult. Also, check out the companion Ear Warmer (in photo) and Cowl.
9. Basic Hat
The Basic Hat crochet pattern is just a basic beanie using half double crochet stitches. From there, you can add texture with post stitches at the bottom. Or even add ear flaps and braids.
The Basic Hat pattern comes in 8 sizes from newborn thru adult. Pattern uses worsted weight yarn and can be made in any variation.
10. Simple Slouchy Beanie
The Simple Slouchy Beanie is just as it states, a simple pattern. It has a wide, folded brim. Hat is completed with a faux fur pom pom. Pattern comes in adult size only.
