The Ana Ear Warmer is a beautiful, textured crochet pattern. It works up quick and is the perfect accessory. Pattern is written for adult size ear warmer, but can easily be adjusted for smaller sizes.
Last winter I published The Ana Beanie Crochet Pattern, which comes in adult and child sizes. It is completed with a faux fur pom pom on top. Well, it has been a HUGE hit every day since it was posted. It has actually been number 1 or 2 on my page views every single day.
I also have The Gracie Messy Bun Beanie which is the sister pattern to the Ana Beanie. It uses the same stitches and is a messy bun version. It also comes in child and adult sizes. The Ana Beanie and Gracie Messy Bun Beanie are made from the brim up. I also have the Top Down Ana Beanie, which is a version that is written from the top down. It works up even faster since you don’t have to work the brim.
I know you will love this Ear Warmer version. It will be perfect for craft shows this upcoming season. And it works up quick. Several testers said they made it in about an hour! I would love to see you work. Use #crochetitcreations or #anaearwarmer for Instagram tags.

Ana Ear Warmer Adult Size Crochet Pattern by Crochet it Creations
Ana Ear Warmer Crochet Pattern
Materials Needed
- H 5mm Crochet Hook, or size needed to obtain gauge
- Medium #4 Weight Yarn, 100 yards
- Scissors
- Finishing Needle
Gauge
- 4” square = 14 HDC x 10 Rows
Stitches Used/Abbreviations (U.S. Terms)
- HDC – Half Double Crochet
- FPHDC – Front Post Half Double Crochet
- BPHDC – Back Post Half Double Crochet
- FHDC – Foundation Half Double Crochet
- Join – Slip Stitch to first stitch
- Ch – Chain
- St(s) – Stitch(es)
- CS – Camel Stitch – Crochet in the back side of the stitch, third loop. This pushes the normal top loops that you would crochet in to the front and creates a chain row in the front of the stitch. It’s also called a knit stitch.
Pattern Notes
- Beginning chain DOES NOT count as a stitch.
- On the camel stitch rows, join to the top of the stitch, not in the third loop. Release your hook from the loop, insert hook in the backside of the st you just joined. Grab the loop and pull through bringing it to the backside of the stitch. Then ch 1 and begin your row. This cleans it up a little. See video HERE for reducing visibility of the camel stitch joins
- The Ana Ear Warmer can be made in any size, but due to the nature of the stitch repeat it is only written for 3 Years & Up. Use the chart for your starting stitch count on the foundation row.
- You certainly can make smaller sizes, but some of the Camel Stitch rows will need to be eliminated or it will be too wide. See Chart 2 at the end of the pattern for the Foundation HDC number on the smaller sizes.
