Ana Fingerless Gloves Crochet Pattern

Fingerless Gloves Wrist Warmer Crochet Pattern by Crochet It Creations

The Ana Fingerless Gloves are the next beautiful pattern of the Ana Series! The Ana Patterns include the Beanie, Messy Bun Beanie, Infinity Scarf, and Ear Warmer. It just makes the most sense to add fingerless gloves to the bunch!

They are made with the same textured stitches as the other Ana Patterns. The Camel Stitch may be new to you. It is worked in the Third Loop, which is behind the normal top loops of the stitch that you would work in. This creates a nice chain across the front of your work.

Fingerless gloves can also be known as wrist warmers. I often get asked, why would someone wear these? I like to wear mine when I’m working and it’s freezing in my office. Or even just out to the store. They give you that extra warmth and ability to still be able to text or use your smart phone. I obviously wouldn’t wear them to go play in the snow or build a snowman 🙂

The Ana Fingerless Gloves are worked from the wrist up. They come in 3 sizes; Adult, Teen/Small Adult, and Child. There is no sewing used for this pattern.

Materials Needed

  • H 5.0mm Crochet Hook, or size needed to obtain gauge
  • Medium #4 100% Acrylic Yarn
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry Needle

Gauge

  • 4” square = 14 DC x 7 rows

Stitches Used/Abbreviations (US Terms)

Pattern Notes

  • Beginning chain DOES NOT count as a stitch
  • On the camel stitch rows, join to the top of the stitch, not in the third loop. Release your hook from the loop, insert hook in the backside of the st you just joined. Grab the loop and pull through bringing it to the backside of the stitch. Then ch 1 and begin your row. This cleans it up a little. See video HERE for reducing visibility of the camel stitch joins.

  1. Would you please elaborate on round 15 and also when you say to join the rounds. Do you do this with a slip Stitch?

    1. Yes, the join means slip stitch

  2. Great thank you. Would you also break it down further on round 15 of the adult size? I am confused on making the thumb hole.

  3. I’m also confused on the thumb hole…

    1. Hi there! Sorry for the delayed response. How can I help? Which size are you making?

      1. Im maling the adult size…and confised on joing 1st and 12th stitch???

        1. You are joining to both of those stitches together to create a thumb hole opening

  4. if the first chain is not considered a stitch after joining rounds on the next row do you join in the chain or first stitch (example the first dc)

    1. You join into the first stitch, skipping over the chain

  5. amei seus croches

  6. Are there 22 stitches of the beginning chain as well and is our first join with the fist row of double crochet or are we joining at the end of the chain. Also do you have any videos for this project or just the written pattern?

    1. The pattern uses a foundation row at the beginning, if you would like to replace with chaining – chain to the amt listed & join. I do not have videos of this pattern.

  7. Do you have a clearer explanation of the camel stitch or a video to demonstrate? Thank you.

    1. There is a video, I just updated the pattern with the links.

  8. After you join, are you turning your work or continuing in a spiral?

  9. So far I’ve only done the left glove because I wasn’t sure what to do on the right. The way it looks on the pattern it’s going to have a seam on the top of the hand.

    1. Yes, the seam is on top for one hand. You can reduce the visibility by pulling your joins tight each time you slip stitch.

  10. Hi. Am I able to get permission to print this pattern? I don’t have a computer so I have to read it off my phone. It makes it very hard to keep my place. If not, of course I will understand. Btw, its a beautiful pattern. 🙂

  11. Hi. I was wondering if you would allow me to print this pattern because I have no computer so I have to use my phone. I wouldn’t make any other copies of it nor try to sell it.

    1. It is available on Etsy and Ravelry to print

  12. For hands, safety must wear Gloves. it’s a good practice for workers.

  13. Howdy! I was wondering, as exactly as possible, how much yarn is used in the adult and teen/adult sizes? Thanks in advance!

    1. I just realized it isn’t on the pattern. I apologize I’m not exactly sure. I would guess 150
      Yards for adult

  14. Do you have an ear warmer in the same pattern as the fingerless gloves?

  15. Hi…thank you for this fingerless gloves pattern. It was easy to understand and well explained. I have been crocheting for three years now and this was my first try at a glove. It turned out beautifully. Thanks once again!
Also, how may I share a picture of it with you? – would love to!

  16. Hi. What are the finished wrist circumferences of each size? Thanks!

    1. I don’t have the measurements but it’s maybe 5″ wide? Did you test a gauge swatch? You may need to go up a hook size.
