I used Red Heart Amore yarn which is a thinner Medium #4 weight yarn. If you are using a different yarn, check yarnsub.com. It will tell you any yarn that is comparable to the Amore. Or if you do not have access to those yarns, just check your gauge. You may need to go down in hook size.
The pattern is like my Basic Hat crochet pattern, which comes in all sizes. Post stitches are added to the bottom for extra stretch.

Thanks for the pattern, it’s gorgeous! I was just wondering how you would extend the sizing for a 6 month old? Thank you!
