If you loved the Cameo Cardigan, then you will also love this Jaycee Sweater Crochet Pattern!! It follows the same style of joining the shoulder seams like the Cameo Cardigan! Minimal sewing is done at the very end of the pattern.
Make this sweater all yours by using your favorite worsted weight #4 yarn and make short sleeves, 3/4 sleeves, or long sleeves.
The crochet pattern is available in 7 adult sizes…..from XS to 3XL! Each size is written out below, in their own pattern. No need to read brackets or remember which one you are following. Be sure to read pattern notes and view photos.

Jaycee Sweater Crochet Pattern
Materials Needed
- J 6.0mm Crochet Hook, or size needed to obtain gauge
- Worsted Weight #4 yarn
- Scissors
- Finishing needle
- Stitch Markers
Stitches Used
- Dc – double crochet
- sc – single crochet
- sl st – slip stitch
- BLO – back loop only
- Sc2tog – decrease sc
- Join – slip stitch to first st
- Dc2tog – decrease dc
- Foundation sc, see here how to make foundation rows
Gauge 4” square
- 10 rows x 12.5 stitches (sc row, dc row as the pattern)
Pattern Notes
- Pattern is written in U.S. Crochet Terms
- Beginning chain(s) of the row DOES NOT count as a stitch.
- Place first stitch in the same stitch as the join on the sleeve rounds.
- When joining on the sleeve rnds, do not join to the chain. Sk over it and join to the 1st st.
- Pattern is worked in vertical continuous rows of the front right panel, back panel, and left front panel. No finishing off on these rows.
- I am a fan of no sew patterns! This pattern will be joining the shoulders to the front or back panels to close as you work them, creating a seam at the shoulder.
- Notice that the odd rows are sc stitches and the even rows are dc
- Add length to the sleeve by adding 2 rows, shorten by reducing 2 rows. Always end with sc row.
- Make ¾ sleeves by stopping at row 25 without doing the sc2tog. Make short sleeves by stopping at row 10. The options are all yours

Join the front/back panels to create the shoulder seams to the sides of the top of the dc and the sc row as shown above.

Sew the front seam using the invisible mattress stitch. Weaving in and out of the stitches on each side from underside. Kind of like a figure 8 or lacing shoes. Go over twice on first and last stitches to provide extra security.

This pattern is so pretty, thank you for sharing. I have only made Afghans and amigurumi toys. And just like you, I don’t like joining things. So I believe this will be right up my alley. And I was looking for a 3/4 sleeve v-neck. I’m thrilled. Have a great night ️ ☺️ P. S. I really need to do Facebook LOL
Hi there, on the back panel it would be row 50 on the large size, should I work all of the stitches on that row if I do not want a v neck in the back? I appreciate any help, I’ve never crocheted anything wearable before ☺️
