The Sherpa Cowl is a super warm and soft pattern. It is perfect for those winter days spent outside. It will be sure to block the wind and keep you warm.

Bernat Pipsqueak yarn is soft and fluffy. It is made of polyester and when it’s worked up, if feels just like sherpa! Sherpa is every where in stores right now and the cowl is just as awesome as those pull overs.

The Sherpa Cowl Crochet Pattern is made in 2 parts. The outside being made from Red Head Soft Essentials, which is a bulky #5 yarn. It has post stitches to give it some nice texture. The second part is the Bernat Pipsqueak for the Sherpa feel, which is also a bulky yarn. You will notice that the pattern uses 2 different crochet hooks. Although they are both bulky yarns, the Pipsqueak has a larger gauge. So, a smaller crochet hook was needed to get the gauge close to the Soft Essentials Yarn.

Place the Pipsqueak piece inside the Soft Essentials and crochet them both together with Pipsqueak edging. I promise you will stay nice and cozy with these double layers.

Pair the Cowl with the Sherpa Ear Warmer Crochet Pattern. The Ear Warmer uses 1/2 skein of each Pipsqueak and Soft Essentials yarns. The cowl uses the remainder of those skeins plus 1 additional skein of each.
