The Ana Infinity scarf is a beautiful textured crochet pattern. It is made of various crochet stitches including the camel stitch and post stitches. Pattern works up quick and looks beautiful! Pair it with one of the other crochet patterns in the Ana Series…

The Ana series started last year with a popular textured crochet beanie, The Ana Beanie crochet pattern can be found HERE. It is worked from the brim up and is completed with a faux fur pom pom on top. It comes in child and adult sizes. See post HERE how to make your own faux fur pom poms..
Then, there’s the Messy Bun version. I named it the Gracie Messy Bun Beanie and called them sister crochet patterns (after my daughters). However, it is the exact same stitches and design as The Ana Beanie Crochet Pattern, just a messy bun version. Find that pattern HERE. It also comes in child and adult sizes.
Then, I made a Top Down version of the Ana Beanie. This crochet pattern was designed because….sometimes you just want to work a beanie quicker. And it has all the textured stitches like the Ana Beanie. I am a fan of brim up beanies, though because they give them a more stylish look. They also hold up better after wearing many times. Some of the top down beanies stretch more.
Next, was the Ana Ear Warmer crochet pattern. This pattern is shown in the photo below. It is just as beautiful as the original Ana Beanie! And it works up super quick! These will be a big hit at craft shows.

Ana Infinity Scarf Crochet Pattern by Crochet It Creations
Materials Needed
- J 6mm Crochet Hook, or size needed to obtain gauge
- Medium Weight #4 Yarn, approximately 500 yards
- Scissors
- Tapestry Needle
Gauge
- 4” square – 12 HDC x 8 rows
Stitches Used/Abbreviations (U.S. Terms)
- HDC – Half Double Crochet
- DC – Double Crochet
- FPDC – Front Post Half Double Crochet
- BPDC – Back Post Half Double Crochet
- FHDC – Foundation Half Double Crochet
- Join – Slip Stitch to first stitch
- Ch – Chain
- St(s) – Stitch(es)
- CS – Camel Stitch – Crochet in the back side of the stitch, third loop. This pushes the normal top loops that you would crochet in to the front and creates a chain row in the front of the stitch. It’s also called a knit stitch.
Pattern Notes
- Pattern is for an infinity scarf worked in the round measuring approximately 66” and worn folded over once.
- Beginning chain DOES NOT count as a stitch.
- On the camel stitch rows, join to the top of the stitch, not in the third loop. Release your hook from the loop, insert hook in the backside of the st you just joined. Grab the loop and pull through bringing it to the backside of the stitch. Then ch 1 and begin your row. This cleans it up a little. See video HERE for reducing visibility of the camel stitch joins.

How long is this infinity scarf?
It is about 68”
Love this cowl! Thank you!
Are the photos showing the scarf twisted to wrap around the wearer twice, or just once?
Just folded over once
You said FPDC in 1st and BPDC in 1st.. so both of these in each stitch or FPDC in 1st and BPDC in 2nd?
It is FPDC in ONE st, BPDC in ONE st. Not First, I hope that clarifies things.

I would really like to make this as a scarf, any suggestions?
The Camel Stitches can only be made in the round, so this pattern will not work as a scarf.
