Learn how to sew the mattress stitch with this video tutorial by Crochet It Creations
The Mattress Stitch is a perfect sewing technique to sew two crochet pieces together. Using this technique, you will not be able to see the seam. You can also use this technique for knitted items.
The Mattress Stitch is used by weaving in and out of each stitch, from bottom up. I used contrasting colors in the video so you can see. But if I was using a purple or cream yarn, you wouldn’t be able to tell that it was sewn together.
I use this technique often when sewing clothing pieces, like my Cooper Cardigan Crochet Pattern. You cannot tell where they have been sewn.
