Week 2 9/12/19 of the Textured Fun Square Sampler Blanket Crochet Along brings us another fun square! This week is the Waffle Stitch.
The Waffle Stitch is just what it sounds like, stitches made to look like a waffle. The photo looks complex, but it just uses front post and double crochet stitches.
If you are new to joining Crochet It Creations Fall 2019 Crochet Along, then check out the introduction post to get info on materials needed, stitches used, and how the CAL works. See Week 1 – the Post Stitches Square HERE.
If you are making the throw blanket size, then you will need to make 9 of the Waffle Square in any colors of your choosing. If you would like to make another size, then see the Textured Fun Blanket Instructions Post where I go over the sizes and squares needed.

Hi! I wanted to thank you for sharing the patterns for the blanket. It is beautiful and helping me get through the time while we are in lock down!
Hi there, I’m just attempting my first waffle stitch cushion cover and am halfway through. However my first row or my slip stitch row seems quite tight and my later rows are fanning out when it’s supposed to be rectangular. Any ideas why?! Is my first chain too tight?!
That’s why I start my patterns out with a foundation row because the starting chain can be too tight…
