Woodland Mittens Crochet Pattern Toddler Size

The Woodland Crochet Mittens Pattern is a perfect pattern that is quick and easy. It is beginner friendly with links to special stitches. Pattern is also available in other sizes.

The toddler mittens size is for ages 1-2 years and uses about 30 yards of yarn! Perfect for those scrap yarn balls laying around. Make a pair with left over yarn from a matching hat!If you would like a size smaller than toddler, I would suggest going down a hook size.

Materials Needed

  • H 5mm Crochet Hook
  • Worsted Weight #4 Yarn
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry Needle

Stitches Used/Abbreviations (U.S. Terms)

  • CS – Camel Stitch – Crochet in the back side of the stitch, third loop. This pushes the normal top loops that you would crochet in to the front and creates a chain row in the front of the stitch. This is also called a knit stitch.
  • HDC – Half Double Crochet
  • HDC2TOG – Half Double 2 Stitches Together
  • Sl St – slip stitch
  • Join – Slip Stitch to First St
  • Ch – Chain
  • St(s) – Stitch(es)

Pattern Notes

  • Beginning chain DOES NOT count as a stitch
  • The join will be somewhat visible, to reduce visibility pull your join tight on each round
  • To eliminate join, work in a spiral using stitch marker to make each row.
